MMW Serves–Environment

catMMW Serves in Academic Year 2018-2019 will be an environmental project on Catalina Island, working with the Catalina Island Conservancy to protect and restore this magnificent island, while learning about Catalina’s unique ecology and having fun!  MMW Serves requires academic preparation in winter term before the experiential component over spring break. Enrollment is VERY limited.

Cost:  $450.00.  There is a Non-Refundable $200.00 deposit due upon your acceptance by Nov.  26.   Second Payment ($250) will be due at the end of January and is Non-Refundable.  This covers transportation from UCSD to Catalina, food, lodging, and outdoor activities over Spring Break 2019. 

Preparation: Participation requires successful cat2completion of a special 4-credit MMW14/122 Seminar on Mondays, 3-6pm in Winter.  Pre-Requisites:  MMW12 & 13; MMW121 (for transfer students).  Deadline:   Submit your application to the MMW Office by Thurs., Nov. 1 at 4pm.
